Sad news today, as the influential soul singerBill Withershas passed away at the age of 81 due to heart complications. He died on Monday in Los Angeles according to his family who also provided a statement. “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved, devoted husband and father. Netflix has just released the trailer forBlack MirrorSeason 5, which also reveals the official premiere date for the new episodes. According to the trailer’s description, the season will consist of “three new stories about the future we should have seen coming.” Also unveiled in the trailer is the season’s release date, confirming the episodes will be streaming on Netflix June 5. As you would expect, it’s hard to gleam what exactly will happen in the episodes, but there will clearly be a focus on modern technology....

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the highly-anticipated sequel toBlack Panther, and the final film in Marvel Studios Phase Four initiative, is set to release November 11th, 2022. Director Ryan Coogler is set to return for the film, as is most of the cast from the previous film. While most of the plot details and premise have yet to be released, the film will follow the fictional nation of Wakanda as they deal with the death of beloved King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman, who tragically passed away from colon cancer in August 2020)....

Netflix have unveiled a first look atCameron DiazandJamie Foxxin their new Netflix action-comedy,Back in Action. During a 2024 preview of the many new shows and movies hitting the streaming platform this year, Back in Action clips see Diaz and Foxx kicking ass as two spies who end up back in the thick of it. You can check out the footage at around the 2:10 mark in the video below. Diaz came out of retirement to star in the movie alongside Foxx, and while the production has been hit with many delays - most notably for Foxx’s medical emergency last year, there were also several reports that Foxx’s on-set behavior had also been causing issues....

The Daytona 500 took place yesterday and Disney felt that would be a perfect time to get some people on board forCars 3. Christopher Nolan is heading to Universal Pictures for his next movie, ending his long-running relationship with Warner Bros. The acclaimed filmmaker is set to direct a new movie for Universal based onhis script about J. Robert Oppenheimer, a theoretical physicist who headed the research and development of the atom bomb that ended World War II under an initiative called the Manhattan Project. Nolan and his wife Emma Thomas are producing under their Syncopy Inc....

It is being reported that producers on the set ofDeadpool 2ignored concerns from the stunt coordinators aboutJoi Harris' abilities. The stunt was relatively straight forward and would have been incredibly easy for a trained professional. It has also been reported that the accident was a “low-speed freak accident” after the investigation by WorkSafeBC was concluded. So could it have been avoided? According to sources close to the set, it very much should have been....

Netflixhas released the first teaser trailer forDisenchantment. This marks the first new series from Matt Groening, legendary creator ofThe SimpsonsandFuturama, in 19 years. As the trailer points out, he’s shown us the present and the future, so the logical place for him to take us is to the past, and that’s exactly where we’re going. Beyond that, this is very much a teaser and doesn’t show us too much, but just the idea that Groening has a new show coming out very soon that we’ll be able to binge is exciting enough....
