Everyone’s favorite Asgardian bad boy is back withLokiSeason 2. The series, which debuted in 2021, made fans wait for a second installment; it wasn’t exactly an easy break as the first season ended on a shocking cliffhanger.

Sylvie killed He Who Remains, setting off chaos as timelines expanded and branched out. Loki is heartbroken by her choice and faces his own problems in a very different TVA — not the least being Mobius no longer recognizes him. The season 2 premiere picks up right where the finale ended and what happens next definitely leads to a few questions.

10Who Pruned Loki From the Future TVA?

Loki and Mobius have a plan to stop the former’s trouble time-slipping. Mobius dons a retro space suit — complete with unsettling helmet crack. Meanwhile, it’s up to Loki to prune himself when the aura extractor is ready, meaning his worries about moving between time periods would be over. Unfortunately, it doesn’t go as planned and Loki once again time-slips; he’s met with abrief glimpse of Sylviepushing through elevator doors as a phone rings in the distance.

The predicament seems bad for both Loki and Mobius — who is rightfully fearful about losing his skin. Nevertheless, Loki is pruned at just the right moment to save them both. The series isn’t ready to reveal who was behind the pruning just yet, nor how they knew what to do. The answer promises to be interesting when the moment with Sylvie finally comes to fruition.

9Where Is Renslayer?

Ravonna Renslayer was a powerful force in the TVA during the first season ofLoki. She went out of her way to save the TVA’s current configuration, even turning against Mobius. The character may have set off on her own journey, but that doesn’t mean she’s not playing a role in this twisted time travel story.

Loki hears a taped conversation between Renslayer and He Who Remains which indicates they were well acquainted with one another. It looks to be an important detail, but viewers have to wonder if Renslayer will actually make an onscreen appearance asthe TVA continues to unravel.

8How Did O.B. Avoid the Memory Wipe?

Ouroboros a.k.a O.B. is sure to become a fan favorite if the first episode is any indication. Ke Huy Quan plays the character with a whimsy that makes any viewer want to visit Repairs and Advancements. Still, there’s a major mystery hidden among the layers of devices. O.B. continues to have his memory, seemingly avoiding a memory wipe.

Mobius doesn’t remember visiting the area even though O.B. is able to relate what happened. So, how would the character be able to remember everything while others were targeted? Did He Who Remains want it that way or did he somehow go unnoticed in the chaos? It looks like the mystery will continue, at least throughout the season.

7Why Is Mobius Fascinated with Jet Skis?

If there is one question that has enthralled and puzzled fans it’sMobius’ interest in Jet Skis. The character’s connection to the watercraft isn’t forgotten in Season 2. Instead, the TVA agent is pointedly asked about the magazines that adorn his desk.

Secret Invasion: What to Watch Before Starting the New Marvel Series

Secret Invasion is now available on Disney+, with an episode already released. If you haven’t seen these essential movies yet, now is the time.

Mobius is quick to note Jet Ski is a brand name much like Kleenex for tissues, establishing some sort of bond with the crafts might lead to a surprising reveal later. With so many discussions about lives outside the TVA, it’s a good guess that Mobius’ backstory features at least one Jet Ski in the garage.

6Is Loki Finished with Time-Slipping?

Time-slipping is a horrible thingto watch, just ask Mobius — his observation about it being birth or death makes sense in the larger series structure. Mobius and Loki seem to have the problem under control thanks to O.B.’s aura extractor. Nevertheless, there’s a full series still yet to run and something as interesting as time-slipping can’t just be put on a shelf. It’s a safe bet not to rule it out but who knows when it comes to the TVA.

5How Many Kang Variants Will Appear in the Series?

He Who Remains is dead and a myriad of variants is out there. The villain was not far off when he told Sylvie he would see her soon. Trailers have revealed that Loki and Mobius time travel to the past in search of He Who Remains’ variant Victor Timely.

Anyone who has seenAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniais all too aware of thenumerous Kang variantsbesides Timely. Whether Timely is the only one to appear on this season ofLokiis a mystery and the first episode is as cryptic about it as ever.

4What Is General Dox’s Real Plan for the Minutemen?

B-15 may have been able to reach Judge Gamble with her powerful testimony but General Dox isn’t interested. It feels like Dox is well on herway to villain statusthis season with a blatant disregard for what is happening. She also has a very strange connection to X-5 — one that seems problematic by all accounts.

How Loki Accomplished What Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Never Could

Loki did one thing so much better than Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Dox orders Minutemen to catch Sylvie but B-15 echoes what viewers think about the onslaught. This can’t all be for Sylvie, and what could Dox have in store for the TVA?

3Is Broxton Just a Marvel Easter Egg?

Any Marvel Comics fan will know the importance of Broxton; Thor settles on land near the city as a new Asgard for displaced Asgardians. It’s no coincidence that Sylvie lands there in the series, but it remains to be seen if it is an Easter egg or something more. The residents of Broxton might be warned that following the comics will mean certain destruction, so they should tread carefullyaround the McDonald’s.

2Will There Be a Surprise Villain This Season?

Addinga surprising villainto the story is nothing new and yet it could be exactly what’s in store for viewers. While many are looking at the importance of Kang and his variants, it might fall on one of the likable characters to undergo a reveal or two. It also stands to reason that Dox and X-5 could have some unexpected help from the inside. With time in flux, the possible villains and villainous actions only grow — so don’t get attached to anyone just yet.

1Why Is Key Lime Pie Important?

Theseries’ end creditsare not only full of visual delights and a great score from Natalie Holt; each frame is full of mystery about what certain items or symbols mean, with some possibly being nothing more than a very cool aesthetic. One item that is very much front and center is a slice of key lime pie. Mobius and Loki had a memorable exchange over a salad in Season 1, so it’s a good bet that a slice of pie could do just the same.
