Spider-Man: Freshman Year — TBD 2024
Last year, Marvel gave us a first glimpse of its upcoming animated series,Spider-Man: Freshman Yearat San Diego Comic-Con. The plot will take place before the events ofCaptain America: Civil War, where Holland’s Peter Parker was initially introduced. Celebrating the iconic roots of Spider-Man, the series will witness his journey from a teenager to becoming the neighborhood web-slinger, but in the MCU style. Although the story might have some MCU ties, it will be a Multiverse story and will not take place in theexisting MCU timeline.
Characters including Daredevil, Nico Minuro (Runaways), Lonnie Lincoln, Amadeus Choe, Harry Osborn, Dr. Otto Octavius, Speed Demon, Unicorn, The Rhino, Scorpion, Dr. Strange, Butane, and others will appear in the series. As per reports, Holland will not be voicing the animated version of the web-head. The series is set to release in 2024 on Disney+. Season 2 of the series will be calledSophomore Year.

Spider-Man 4 — Release Date TBD
Spider-Man: No Way Homeends on an emotional note, with everyone forgetting who Peter Parker is. He creates a new Spider-Man costume for himself, marking a new beginning of his life and the conclusion of theHomecomingtrilogy. Holland’s Spider-Man is expected to return for another sequel,Spider-Man 4. He is the second lucky Avenger after Thor to receive a fourth movie, which recently got the latest update.
Amy Pascal, the producer of theSpider-Manfilms, revealed that, currently, the writing of the film is yet to begin, but is put on hold because of the writers' strike; once it’s resolved, they’ll begin penning the story. The film is still under development, so the plot, release date, and cast details remain unknown. But according to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, they have some big ideas in store for a fourth film.The post-credit sceneofVenom: Let There Be Carnageteased a potential face-off between him and Spider-Man, which can be expected in the upcoming film.

Marvel’s What If…? Season 2 — Coming Soon
Season one ofWhat if…?has explored a wide range of possibilities by reimagining the prominent events of the MCU. The beloved Avengers turn into zombies in Episode 5, titled “What If…Zombies,” as the remaining ones search for the cure. In the episode, Spider-Man displays his heroic nature and dons Dr. Strange’s cloak of levitation. Season 2 will be making its way onto Disney+ later this year. At Comic-Con, some character-based storylines were revealed, but this doesn’t guarantee any Spider-Man-centric story.
Although director Bryan Andrew teased the character’s potential return in the future in an interview withComicbook, he didn’t give reveal any concrete confirmation about Spider-Man’s appearance inWhat If…?Season 2. However, young Peter Parker’s appearance is confirmed on the official website of Marvel. It opens up the possibility of him showing up for an episode or two in Season 2.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse — August 12, 2025
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verseshattered box office recordswith a $208 million+ collection as of now. With a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 95%, the movie has received enormous praise from audiences and critics. However, the film doesn’t mark the end of Miles Morales' journey. He and Gwen Stacy will return for a Multiverse adventure inSpider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, set to release on June 29, 2025.
The cast isn’t confirmed yet, but actors like Hailee Steinfeld (Gwen), Shameik Moore (Miles), Oscar Isaac (Miguel O’Hara), Issa Rae (Spider-Woman), Daniel Kaluuya (Spider-Punk), Karan Soni (Pavitra Prabhakar), Jason Schwartzman (The Spot), and more are likely to make a return. The movie will conclude the trilogy. It will be helmed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson, and Kemp Powers.

Miles Morales in Live Action — Release Date TBD
Even though theSpider-Versetrilogy will come to an end next year, a newSpider-Manfilm is on its way, transitioning directly from the animated version to a solo feature film. Recently,Amy Pascal announcedthat a Miles Morales live-action movie is in the works at Sony Pictures. Shameik Moore, who voices the wall-crawler inSpider-Verse, has expressed his interest in portraying Miles Morales in the live-action film.
In an interview, Moore revealed how he will put in his “entire soul” to play the famous Spider-Man and will bring the character’s animated characteristics to the stand-alone movie. As of now, it’s not yet confirmed who will take on therole of Miles Morales. However, it would be interesting to see what new things live-action might bring to the table. Additionally, aSpider-Womanfilm is also said to be in development.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (Rumored) — June 09, 2025
The firstAvengersmovie following Phase 3 is just two years away, and it will see Kang the Conqueror in action. According to Insider, it’s rumored that Holland’s Spider-Man will be taking the lead inAvengers: The Kang Dynasty, which is set to release on July 12, 2025. Though Marvel Studios hasn’t confirmed the rumor yet, there’s a probability of him appearing in the film because of his familiarity with the Multiverse inSpider-Man: No Way Home. The plot details remain under wraps. Destin Daniel Cretton, director ofShang-Chi, will helm the movie, and the screenplay will be penned by Jeff Loveness.
Avengers: Secret Wars (Rumored) — August 20, 2025
In the 2015Secret Warscomics, Spider-Man played a key role in the storyline. The story centers on the collision of two universes, resulting in the formation of the Battleworld with the help of their remnants. Spider-Man and other fellow heroes battle the villains to restore the universe. There are a lot of rumors making the rounds on the internet about the wall-crawler’s appearance. Some rumors claim that Tobey Maguire, Tom Holland, and Andrew Garfield will all be inAvengers: Secret Wars. According to the Geekosity Youtube channel, Maguire might die in the film. But none of these rumors have been confirmed by any official source. As announced at San Diego Comic-Con, the film is set to release on August 16, 2025. The script will be written by Michael Waldron.
