It’s a family affair—Adam Sandleris bringing coming-of-age comedyYou Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvahfor Netflix, and he’s bringing his entire family with him.
Variety reports thatSandler is set to star in the film, adapted from the Fiona Rosenbloom novel by the same name, alongside wife Jackie and teenage daughters Sunny and Sadie.

Set in the early 2000s,You are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvahfollows Stacey Friedman as she prepares for one of the biggest events of her young life: her bat mitzvah. As the date nears closer and everything begins going wrong, Stacey reaches her limit when she catches her best friend Lydia making out with her crush Andy, and utters the words that will upend her social life—“you are SO not invited to my bat mitzvah!”
While Netflix has yet to clarify who will play what role, Sandler’sUncut Gemsco-star Idina MenzelandPunch-Drunk Loveco-star Luis Guzmán are also slated join the cast. Among the other announced cast areSaturday Night Livenewcomer Sarah Sherman, Ido Mosseri (You Don’t Mess with the Zohan), Samantha Lorraine (The Walking Dead: The World Beyond), Dylan Hoffman (Next), Dean Scott Vazquez (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts), Miya Cech (Always Be My Maybe), Dylan Dash (The Great), and Millie Thorpe (Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion). Newcomers Zaara Kuttemperoor and Ivory Baker round out the cast.

Per Variety, Sammi Cohen (Crush) will direct from a script by Alison Peck (Work It). Sandler will be producing the film with Happy Madison executive Tim Herlihy alongside Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Koplovitz Dutton for Alloy Entertainment. Happy Madison executives Barry Bernardi, Judit Maull, and Kevin Grady will executive produce.

Sandler’s Daughters are Frequent Collaborators with Famous Parents
Although they’re still young, Sadie and Sunny Sandler both girls already have an impressive list of film credits under their belt. The daughters of Sandler and actress wife Jackie (the two met on the set ofBig Daddy), Sadie and Sunny often appear alongside their parents on the big screen.
The girls have made appearances in several of Sandler’s films, includingYou Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Grown Ups, Just Go With It, and Blended;but their dad has been protective about which of his projects his daughters are included in.
