Last month, FX made the surprising announcement that theSeason 6 premiereforAmerican Horror Storywill air on Wednesday, September 16 at 10 PM, nearly a month earlier than it usually debuts. There has been nothing revealed about this season quite yet, but that hasn’t stopped FX from dropping new trailers which may or may not have clues as to what this season is all about. Today, we have a new poster, which is just as creepy as it is confusing.
This new poster fromFX Networksfeatures a woman with her eyes closed, who has what look like large spiders coming out of her eyes. What these spider creatures could signify is anyone’s guess at this point, but if you look closely, they certainly don’t seem to be your average spiders. Still, with the premiere date just over one month away, we don’t know when FX will unveil any official details about the series. The only cast member that has been confirmed isLady Gaga, who confirmed her return in a radio interview earlier this year.
Last week, the bizarrenew trailersrevealed what appeared to be thinly-veiled homages to some classic horror movies, such asThe Texas Chainsaw Massacre,The Hills Have EyesandChildren of the Corn. FXrenewedthe sixth installment of the groundbreaking and award-winninganthologylimited series back in November, but very few details have been revealed thus far. The show normally unveils the premise for each season, along with the returning and new cast members far ahead of time, but we’re not sure why the show is being so mysterious this season.
