She’s sassy and sarcastic, but who is extremely intelligent with dreams of going to a Harvard University.Rory’s love lifeis almost as complicated as her academic life, and she turns into a messy/morally gray combo of her mother and grandmother. At times, viewers root against her, but by the end of the episode, they want what’s best for Rory.

Midge Maisel is a fast-talking and flashy character that audiences can’t help but fawn over. When she takes the stage to put on her show, Midge captivates everyone’s attention. When her husband implodes their entire life, she puts all that anger into a comedy career to support herself without her husband. Midge is the perfect example of a woman entrepreneur trying to blaze her own trail in a time when that wasn’t very common. It is very empowering for Sherman-Palladino to bring Midge to the screen.
