Netflix have unveiled a first look atCameron DiazandJamie Foxxin their new Netflix action-comedy,Back in Action. During a 2024 preview of the many new shows and movies hitting the streaming platform this year, Back in Action clips see Diaz and Foxx kicking ass as two spies who end up back in the thick of it. You can check out the footage at around the 2:10 mark in the video below.
Diaz came out of retirement to star in the movie alongside Foxx, and while the production has been hit with many delays - most notably for Foxx’s medical emergency last year, there were also several reports that Foxx’s on-set behavior had also been causing issues. This is something that Diaz spoke out about in an interview last year.

At the time, it was reported that Diaz had been caught in the crossfire of Foxx screaming and shouting at people, as well as firing three people from the movie in the midst of his rant. However, it seems that this was perhaps not the case, as Diaz has now explained.
The reports from the set ofBack in Action, a movie that brought Diaz back to Hollywood after she retired from acting to be a mother to her son, Raddix, suggested that Foxx’s unpredictable behavior had led Diaz to deciding to once again bow out of the acting scene. Speaking on theLipstick on the Rimpodcast, the actress has refuted claims that she was “miserable” and “never going to make another movie again” because of Foxx. She said:
“Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He’s such a special person, and he’s so talented, so much fun. We have so much fun on the set with him, and he’s just a professional on every level. I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set. You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?'”
Production on the movie was halted, but not due to Foxx’s behavior. In April,Foxx was hospitalized, and although he has not spoken much about the incident since, his condition was serious enough to have many people deeply worried. Fox’s decision to remain silent about both his health and on-set rumors is one that Diaz commends.
He’s like, ‘Nope. Just let them [talk],’ We know the truth. Still, it just really made me angry.
