Lionsgate has released the official trailer forCorner Office, a workplace comedy film starringJon Hamm(Mad Men,Top Gun: Maverick). Described as a comedy that’sreminiscent ofOffice SpaceandSeverance, the film follows Hamm as a workplace misfit struggling to find his place in a corporate world he doesn’t feel like he belongs in. The film will be released in theaters, On Demand, and Digital on Aug. 4, and you can watch the new trailer below.

In the film, per the synopsis, “misfit Orson (Hamm) finds himself trapped in the absurdities of corporate life. As The Authority’s newest employee, Orson finds it difficult to connect with his enigmatic desk mate, Rakesh (Danny Pudi,Community), as well as with the rest of his colleagues. His alienation deepens when he discovers a room he’s told doesn’t exist – a place that unleashes his true potential, leading to an ascent up the corporate ladder. Buoyed by his newfound confidence, Orson invites a receptionist (Sarah Gadon,Ferrari) into his sanctuary, sparking a climactic clash between the corporate world’s harsh realities and his own wild fantasies.”

Along with the aforementioned cast members,Corner Officealso stars Christopher Heyerdahl (The Twilight Saga). The film is direccted by Joachim Back and written by Ted Kupper.

Jon Hamm Goes Back to the Cubicle in Corner Office

Corner OfficebringsMad Menstar Jon Hamm back to the cubicle, but this time, the actor is playing an entirely different character. Hamm barely even looks like himself with his role inCorner Office, and it was a role he embraced, impressing the filmmakers who were thrilled to get him involved.

“Everyone knows Don Draper.Mad Menis this iconic show, and it was, in a way, the perfect storm for us to get someone of his caliber on board, I’ll let you in on a little secret: that’s a real mustache," producer Oliver Ridge said of Hamm’s casting, perAwardsDaily. “He was attached when I came on, so when I read the script, I imagined him in the role. I was taken aback by how funny he was, because we are so used to seeing him in something like the bank robber inBaby Driveror the cop inThe Town. I’ve never seen him in anything like this. We were so eager to work with him in this role.”

Ridge added, “He’s an Adonis of a man, so to give him that haircut and that mustache was so wonderful and fun.”

Hamm also recently appeared in the dark comedyMaggie Moore(s). The actor is also attached to the upcoming musical movie adaptation ofMean Girlsand voices a role in the animatedTransformersfilm coming to theaters in 2024. Hamm will also appear in the upcoming third season ofThe Morning Showon Apple TV+.
