Deadpool & Wolverinestar Hugh Jackman has shared a new photo from the set of the movie, although it is probably not a shot that will appear in the movie itself. The Wolverine actor shared the picture as part of the film’s promotional campaign, and just like many of his social media posts, it is not exactly a serious one.
Jackman shared the image on hisInstagram; unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on their point-of-view) for fans, it provides little clarity to the film’s plot. In a post captioned simply “#deadpoolandwolverine”, Jackman can be seen in full Wolverine uniform, riding a matching, Wolverine-colored bicycle. It’s unclear if the image is a part of the film’s plot, or if Jackman was just having fun with a customized bike.

Jackman’s post comes as part ofDeadpool & Wolverine’s robust marketing campaign, which includes stunts such as a custom popcorn bucket (a riff on the viralDune 2popcorn bucket), but it’s also a playful reminder of Jackman’s connection with and love for the character. Jackman famously retired from the role following 2017’sLogan, where he passed the torch to Dafne Keen’s Laura Kinney. It appeared that Jackman was truly done playing Wolverine, and it was a welcome surprise for fans when Jackman announced he would be teaming up with Ryan Reynolds forDeadpool & Wolverine.
Deadpool & Wolverine
A follow-up to the highly successful Deadpool and Deadpool 2 films starring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth. The third film will be the first in the franchise to be developed under the Marvel Studios banner following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
Jackman has spoken at length about his love for the character but has not shied away from discussing the difficulties that came with the role. Jackman has noted that getting into ‘superhero shape’ — an endeavor that involves thousands of calories and countless hours of working out — is one of the most difficult parts of the role. Recently, he commented thathe left the role because “it was hurting”. Fortunately, he also confirmed that his recent dance work has kept him in shape and has mitigated the toll somewhat.

Meanwhile, Jackman’s co-star Reynolds has lobbied for Jackman’s return to the role for years. Reynolds and Jackman have gotten along famously since the promotional tour started, but Reynolds has said thathe was ‘terrified’ of Jackman during filmingdue to the latter’s physicality. He’s also spoken in the past about his excitement to work with the actor, however. Noting that Jackman’s commitment to the role was awe-inspiring, Reynolds and Jackman publicly supported one another throughout the promotional tour.
Long-Awaited X-Men Rematch Confirmed in New Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer
The latest look at Deadpool & Wolverine finally confirms a major cameo…and it’ll have X-Men fans very excited.
Their rapport will hopefully pay off on-screen whenDeadpool & Wolverinehits theaters on July 26. Reynolds has alreadyproclaimed the film as the greatest comic book movie ever made. Though time will tell if fans agree, one thing is sure: if Marvel decides to make that Wolverine-colored bicycle into actual merchandise, die-hard fans will almost certainly go wild for it.
