At the end ofMarvel’s latest box office hitAnt-Man, one of the two end credits scenes featured Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) showing his daughter Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly)The Waspsuit that both he designed specifically for her. This scene made it quite clear that fans will be seeing The Wasp at some point in theMarvelCinematic Universe, but when that will be is still up in the air.Evangeline Lillyheld a Q&A on herFacebookpage yesterday, where she was asked if she has been fitted for The Wasp suit. Here’s what she had to say during the Q&A session.
“I was scanned for The Wasp suit, but then I got pregnant. Let’s hope I fit it again! #ineedtime”

During the Q&A session,Evangeline Lillywas also asked if she would like the chance to “fight” her mother, Janet Van Dyne, in the Quantum Realm. The firstAnt-Manonly gave us a brief tease of the Quantum Realm, but it also established that there is a way out of this mysterious place, since Scott Lang was able to escape. The actress said that she loved the fan’s ideas, adding she would love to see Wasp fightMark Ruffalo’s Hulk, since she would just fly around the Green Goliath and make him exasperated. She also added that she wants fans to keep bugging Marvel about putting her in more movies, but we’re not sure which movies she will appear in yet.
When asked if she has actually tried theWaspsuit on, the actress revealed that she hadn’t because she is still pregnant. It was already confirmed thatEvangeline Lilly’s Wasp will not show up inCaptain America: Civil War, which is currently wrapping up production in Germany. ProducerKevin Feigerevealed that her character was included in an earlier draft of theCaptain America: Civil Warscript, but she was removed. Here’s what the producer had to say last month.

“She was included in early versions of Civil War but there are so many characters in Civil War that we didn’t want to do her a disservice, like she flies in, ‘I’ve got the costume now’, and she flies out. WithAnt-Man, and I’m not saying that’s whatAnt-Mandoes in the movie, but we already know him, we’ve already seen him. We haven’t seen her as Wasp and we don’t want to rob the opportunity of seeing her in the outfit for at least almost the first time, and seeing her dynamic with Scott in a way it could play out, so we’re saving it. But its going to be in Phase three for sure.”
The producer went on to confirm that fans will get to see The Wasp at some point duringPhase Three, but he wouldn’t confirm exactly when that would happen. AfterCaptain America: Civil War,Marvelwill roll outDoctor Strange(June 30, 2025),Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2(June 06, 2025),Thor: Ragnarok(July 23, 2025),Avengers: Infinity War Part I(July 30, 2025),Black Panther(Jun 11, 2025),Captain Marvel(June 11, 2025),Avengers: Infinity War - Part II(August 12, 2025) andInhumans(June 11, 2025). Hopefully we’ll find out soon which of these movies The Wasp will be appearing in. What do you think of these new details?
