Mother Schmuckers Is Comedy At Its Grossest
As you can probably tell from the trailer,Mother Schmuckersis not the type of comedy that will appeal to everyone. The Belgian film seems to fully embracegross-outhumor in ways that would impress theJackass Forevercast, and the characters don’t seem to be much more intelligent thanthe titular delinquents onBeavis and Butt-Head. But for as wildly offensive as the comedy might be for some viewers, there are others, including some top critics atRotten Tomatoes, that couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity from start to finish.
“A chaotically silly piece of insanity that had me laughing myself stupid for 70 minutes straight,” Phindie’s Dan Scully says.
“The Guits masterfully keep upping the black comedy ante, fearless in their goal to offend everyone in this hilarious instant cult classic,” adds Edge Media Network’s Frank J. Avella.
And Shaun Munro of Flickering Myth puts it, “You won’t find good taste here, but a feverishly propulsive energy and snappy runtime ensureMother Schmuckershas the potential to become a shamelessly demented cult fave.
One thing that’s for sure is that this movie won’t be quite like anything else you’ve seen before.Mother Schmuckersis slated to hit theaters on March 4 followed by a digital release on March 15. A Blu-ray release will follow in April.
