This new Fantastic Four is said to be inspired by Marvel’s Unlimited Fantastic Four comic books, the Amblin films of the 80s andDavid Cronenberg’s ‘body horror’ masterpieces such asThe FlyandScanners, which should prove to be an interesting mix. The story follows four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
This is the third in a wave of new photos that continue to show off these iconic Marvel characters in their new early incarnations. It isn’t known when we’ll finally get to see Johnny Storm ‘flame on’ to become The Human Torch, or when we’ll get a full reveal ofJamie Bellas The Thing.
