AMC has announced thatFear the Walking DeadSeason Four will premiere Sunday, April 15 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. Subsequent episodes will air at 9:00pm ET/PT beginning April 22. This comes just days after the network released the first official photos of Lennie James' Morgan Jones, who was announced as theFear the Walking Deadcrossover character last year. While he will be featured in the back half ofThe Walking Dead Season 8, he will transition toFear the Walking Deadin Season 4.

In season four ofFear the Walking Dead, we will see the world of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and her family through new eyes, the eyes ofMorgan Jones(Lennie James), joining the story from the world ofThe Walking Dead. The characters' immediate past mixes with an uncertain present of struggle and discovery as they meetnew friends, foes and threats. They fight for each other, against each other and against a legion of the dead to somehow build an existence against the crushing pressure of lives coming apart. There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; the heroic, mercenary, and craven, all crashing together towards a new reality forFear the Walking Dead.

AMC also recently made a number of announcements related toThe Walking Dead, the highest-rated cable series in history and the #1 show on television for the last six seasons and counting. The series is beingrenewed for a ninth season, to premiere in late 2018; current showrunner Scott M. Gimple is being elevated to Chief Content Officer, overseeing the entire Dead television universe, includingThe Walking Dead,Fear the Walking Dead, and potential brand extensions on a variety of platforms; and Angela Kang, who has been a writer on the show since 2011 and co-executive producer since 2013, is being promoted by Gimple to executive producer and showrunner ofThe Walking Dead, starting with season nine.
