The day is finally here! We get our first look at the new all-femaleGhostbusterscast in their official costumes. All four ladies are present and suited up, includingMelissa McCarthy,Kristen Wiig,Leslie JonesandKate McKinnon. This comes just after we got our first look atMelissa McCarthyin costume on set earlier in the week. It isn’t known when an official image will drop, or if something else will happen duringComic-Con. Neither Sony nor the movie are expected to have much of a presence at the event.
Paul Feigofficially released the first images of the new femaleGhostbusters costumesandProton Packsover the past few days. This was followed by a first look at the newEcto-1 Ghostbusters car. These images have been met with mixed reactions from fans. A lot of them simply don’t like the idea of a new Ghostbusters cast made up of all women.Paul Feighas gone on record as stating that he doesn’t care, because he’s making the movie he wants to make. But he welcomes all opinions good or bad.
Sony Pictures andPaul Feigwere probably hoping for a more exciting reveal of their leading ladies in their newGhostbusterscostumes. And it could still some later in the week, or even this weekend. Shooting is continuing to happen in Boston and New York, with production to continue throughout the summer. Other cast members includeChris Hemsworthas the secretary,Andy Garciaas the Mayor ofNew York City, along withMichael K.
