Despite bothDakota JohnsonandJamie DornanearningRazziesthis past weekend for their performances asAnastasia SteeleandChristian Grey, the duo are all smiles as they share a couple of smooches under an umbrella in the cold grey Canadian weather. Who cares if critics hated the first movie? This is one franchise that has proven itself to be a blockbuster hit, with the first movie pulling in $166.1 million domestically and $571 million worldwide.
These photos mark the first time that Dakota Johnson has been spotted on set. As you may see, she has slipped right back into the comfortable, yet very troubled shoes of Anastasia. And she is displaying her wonderful acting skills here, as she and her co-star Jamie Dornan are notorious for not getting along. Perhaps they’ve patched things up since they both received a hefty raise from Universal for returning in the sequel.
They certainly must have shared a laugh over their Razzie wins, right? Dakota Johnson won her award for Worst Actress, while Jamie Dornan was bestowed with the Worst Actor award. The pair also won an award for ‘worst chemistry’. Both actors appeared happy to be back on set forFifty Shades Darker. Insiders close to the production claim that the dubious duo shared laughs, and joked throughout their lunch break. And they seemed to get along just fine as they were forced to spend hours with each other under a big umbrella. Jamie Dornan even held the umbrella for his leading lady on occasion. As you can see in the images, Anastasia will be showing of her unique style once again, and she doesn’t want to get her clothes wet (there’s a joke here, find it for me).
More set photos show off one of the more emotional scenes inFifty Shades Darker, featuring Anastasia and her new boss Jack Hyde, played by franchise newcomer Eric Johnson. The man is twisted, and while he starts things off as a seemingly nice guy, he soon turns into a manipulative psycho who tries to blackmail Anastasia into having sex. She doesn’t stand for it, though, as she knees him in the crotch, running into the arms of Mr. Grey. You can check out all the romance and madness in the images below.
