The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do Itwas delayed from its initial 2020 release due to COVID, and when it did come out it did so as a simultaneous release on HBO Max and theaters. Despite that, it managed to gross over $200 million at the box office on a budget of $39 million, meaning it was still a highly profitable film that people still went to the theaters to see. Even the spin-offs have beenmassively successful at the box office.The Nun 2released back in 2023 and grossed $269.5 million on a $38.5 million budget. It’s difficult to see the franchise winding down even if both Wilson and Farmiga depart.
