Sharknado 6is definitely happening and the first plot details have arrived online to prove it. SyFy has found themselves a reliable franchise withSharknado, with the network cranking out one of these a year since 2013. What started as aself-aware B-moviehas morphed into an utterly ridiculous franchise that has to keep finding ways to get even more ridiculous to justify its existence. Case in point,Sharknado 6is going to involve time-travel and as a result, we’re going to see dinosaurs, Nazis and Noah’s Ark.
This all comes from the first plot synopsis forSharknado 6, which doesn’t have an official title yet. Though, if history tells us anything, SyFy will come up with something that includes a topical pun. For example, the fourth movie was titledSharknado: The 4th Awakensand was released several months afterStar Wars: The Force Awakenshit theaters. In any case, here’s the first plot synopsis forSharknado 6.
“All is lost, or is it?Finunlocks the time-traveling power of the SHARKNADOS in order to save the world and resurrect his family. In his quest, Fin fights Nazis, dinosaurs, knights, and even takes a ride on Noah’s Ark. This time, it’s not how to stop the sharknados, it’s when.”
So yeah, that sounds pretty crazy even by the established standards of theSharknadofranchise. It’s a pretty safe bet that this movie is going to look ridiculously cheesy. Not only do they have to makeCGI sharkson a shoestring budget, but now they’re throwing dinosaurs and Noah’s Ark into the mix, which means lots and lots of CGI animals. This would be tough to pull off effectively with a big budget. The real question is, who is going to play Noah? Odds are, some B or C list celebrity will get the gig.
Ian Zieringwill return as Fin forSharknado 6, alongsideTara Reidand Cassie Scerbo. Beyond that, the rest of the cast remains a mystery. However, you can bet that the movie will be jam-packed with cameos.Sharknado 5: Global Swarmingfeatured Poison frontman Bret Michaels, comedian Margaret Cho and even Fabio, just to name a few. The cameos in these movies are totally random and run the gamut, so it’s really tough to predict who could possibly show up in the upcoming installment.
If you’re excited aboutSharknado 6, or just morbidly curious, you won’t have to wait all that long to see it, as this new report also states that the movie is set to arrive on July 25. With these firstSharknado 6details making their way online, we’re willing to bet a trailer isn’t far behind. So be on the lookout for that, as we’ll be sure to bring it to you once it’s available.
