The firstStar Wars: The Force Awakensclip has arrived. And it’s short at just 16 seconds long. It is an expanded look at a scene we’ve seen in trailers and TV spots. And it gives us an idea about what’s at stake forDaisy Ridley’s Rey andJohn Boyega’s Finn. They are on the run, trying to escape First Order forces on the desert planet of Jakku. They decided to make their escape by stealing a ship, with Rey explaining that she’s a pilot. But before they can reach the cockpit…Well, you’ll just have to watch the clip for yourself.

The first Star Wars: The Force Awakens clip arrived during the America Music Awards, which aired on Disney owned network ABC last night. We also got another new TV spot which doesn’t really have any new footage. Over the weekend, Disney XD ran another behind-the-scenes preview in the UK, which gives us our first real look atLupita Nyong’o’s Maz Kanata. The video is not the best quality. We also have an international TV spot, and an alternate cut of the Nien Nunb TV spot that ran yesterday. This version shows BB-8 rolling around inside of the Millennium Falcon, only this time, he has extender cables that catch his fall. It’s a moment that, if you blink, you will miss it!

They team up with a mysterious droid namedBB-8. These three must make a choice. Continue their journey alone. Or work together to defeat the dark side.
