Wonder Womanstar Gal Gadot finds herself in a heated situation as she runs from explosions in the latest look at the upcoming Netflix action flick,Heart of Stone. Released courtesy ofEmpire, Gadot has discussed her ambitions forHeart of Stone, with the actress hoping to lead her ownJames Bond/Bourne/Mission: Impossiblestyle action franchise.
“I realised that there was an audience for a female action protagonist. I grew up watching Bond, and Mission, and Bourne. I wanted to create a really strong, female-driven action movie that is for everybody, not a male story that’s been done many times already.”

As well as giving a female perspective to the male-dominated action movie genre,Gal GadotwantsHeart of Stoneto be at least somewhat grounded in reality. Unlike her characters in the likes ofWonder Womanand theFast and Furiousseries. So, while the new image fromHeart of Stonesees Gadot’s secret agent running across an exploding blimp, the actress and the creatives behind the movie “got into the science” to bring such a feat to life as realistically as possible.
“The scene was even crazier, at a higher altitude, and we got into the science of it and dialled it down so that a human could do it. That was something I wanted to really make sure we nailed. That could be done by people.”

This dedication to grounded-and-gritty action sequences has led to Gadot doing a lot of her own stunts inHeart of Stone, though the actress has been forced to step aside when it comes to the really dangerous stuff.
“What I can do as an actor, I’ll always go for it and… fight with intention and really perform that. The crazy, crazy stuff, I can’t, they won’t let me!”
