Back in October, we reported that Netflix is bringing another beloved show back to life, with a new season ofGilmore Girls, the beloved show that ran for seven seasons on The WB and The CW between 2000 and 2007. The initial report claimed that the show will consist of four 90-minute movies, which will span all four seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall, with the working title rumored to beGilmore Girls: Seasons. Today we finally have confirmation of the official title,Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
TheNetflix Twitteraccount unveiled theGilmore Girls Revivaltitle with a new motion poster, while series starLauren Grahamalso appeared onEllenyesterday to reveal the title to her audience, in an episode that will air on Monday. The actress confirmed that the season will be comprised of four 90-minute episodes before unveiling the title. Here’s what she had to say, when hostEllen DeGeneresasked her if the show had a title.

“I’m here to tell you the title. I can tell you the title for the first time. It’s four 90-minute episodes, and they’re winter, spring, summer and fall, and the show is calledGilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.”
Lauren Grahamalso revealed that they are almost done shooting, which makes sense sinceLauren Graham’s co-starScott Pattersonrevealed just last week that he had wrapped on the show. It isn’t clear when the entire series will wrap, but with the reveal of this new poster and title, it’s possible the first trailer could be just around the corner. Netflix still hasn’t announced when the show will premiere yet, or if all four episodes will be available at once. Since the episodes are based around the actual seasons of the year, it’s possible that the streaming service could release a new movie during winter, spring, summer and fall, but that’s just speculation at this point.
The season will bring back your favorite Stars Hollow residents fromGilmore Girls- Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham), Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel), Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop), Luke Danes (Scott Patterson),Sookie St. James(Melissa McCarthy) and many more - picking up life nine years after the originalGilmore Girlssigned off the air.
