WhenSuicide Squadarrived, some fans were upset that there wasn’t as much interaction betweenThe Joker(Jared Leto) and Batman (Ben Affleck) as there appeared to be in the trailers and set video leading up to the movie’s release in theaters. The designers at Hot Toys decided to take matters into their own hands and designed a Joker action figure complete with a Batman imposter costume. While we don’t know exactly when these will go on sale, or how much they will cost, these 1/6th scale figures may certainly be a hot commodity among DC collectors. Especially since they will only be available in very select markets.
Hot Toys unveiled this new action figure throughFacebooktoday, revealing The Joker sporting his very own Batman imposter costume. While we never saw thisBatman costumein the film, it’s certainly possible that we may see it inSuicide Squad 2. But that is pure speculation from one writer who usually gets it wrong 99.9% of the time. Take a look at the official description for this Hot Toys action figure.

We got our first look at thisBatman impostertoy through photos that surfaced from the convention floor at Comic-Con, which had fans speculating whether or not this costume would be seen in the movie. It’s possible that we may see this outfit whenSuicide Squadarrives on Blu-ray or DVD in deleted scenes, but we don’t have confirmation if this suit was ever created for the movie. No Blu-ray or DVD details have surfaced yet, but directorDavid Ayerhas already said that there won’t be a director’s cut, since the theatrical version is the director’s cut.
It’s also possible that this imposter Batman costume could be used inBen Affleck’s stand aloneBatman reboot, which the actor is starring in, directing and co-writing withGeoff Johns. No story details have been confirmed, but it has been rumored that several iconicBatmanvillains will surface. We don’t know for sure if The Joker is one of them, but as you may have guessed from some of my more recent stories, I’m not sure about a lot of things lately.
