Fans will be introduced to a newDisney princesswhenMoanahits theaters on November 23. We’ve already seen the first trailer for this animated adventure, and today we have a new Japanese trailer that travels back toMoana’s childhood, showing how this princess was born. Hopefully we’ll see even more footage soon, revealing howMoana’s bond with the sea was formed.
Back in In April,Dwayne Johnsonrevealed that he will be singing inMoana, as part of his role portraying the demigod Maui. Unfortunately, this trailer doesn’t feature any of the tunes sung byThe Rock, but hopefully the next batch of footage will showDwayne Johnsonbelting out some tunes. This video, which surfaced on the Disney JapanFacebooksets the stage for a new Disney princess to be crowned.Auli’i Cravalhowill make her feature debut asMoana, who was discovered through her singing. An Oahu, Hawaii casting agent discovered the teenager’s vocal abilities during a charity competition. She was then flown to Los Angeles, where she met directorsRon ClementsandJohn Musker, and was eventually crowned the new Disney Princess.

No other voice cast members have been announced at this time for thisanimated adventure, but we still have several months left untilMoanahits theaters in November. Disney will be holding aMoanapanel at Comic-Con tomorrow, with directorsRon ClementsandJohn Muskergiving fans a sneak peek at this animated adventure.
