After holding the No. 1 spot in theaters during its first three weekends of release, Experiment 626’s (Chris Sanders) big-screen return is now eyeing the highly coveted billion-dollar threshold.

Lilo & Stitchhas now made $994.3 million worldwide, which makes it not only the highest-grossing movie of the summer, but it’s also the biggest moneymaker domestically of 2025. In fact, only one other film has made more thanLilo & Stitchon the global stage, and that is the immensely popular Chinese animated fantasy,Ne Zha 2, which brought home a staggering $1.994 billion worldwide.
