The lives of the Locke siblings are changed forever after their father Rendell is fatally shot. After this tragedy, the Lockes decide to move into their ancestral home aptly named Keyhouse in Matheson, Massachusetts. Within the house, they find magical keys that bestow the holders with powers. All in all,Locke & Keyis all about theLocke family and the magical keysthat they’ve sworn to safeguard. Due to the power that these keys hold, the Lockes must do everything they can to keep the keys from falling into the wrong hands.

Jackson Robert Scott as Bode Locke

Bode Locke is played byJackson Robert Scott. Bode is the youngest Locke of the bunch. Given this, he’s innately curious and is always poking around where he shouldn’t be. Due to his inquisitiveness, it isn’t at all surprising that he’s responsible for finding most of the magical keys in the house. If Jackson Robert Scott looks familiar to you, you may recognize him from theItmovies, wherein he played Georgie Denbrough.

Connor Jessup as Tyler Locke

Connor Jessupplays Tyler Locke, the eldest of the Locke children. Out of all the Locke children, Tyler may be the one that experiences the most growth throughout the series. Due to the murder of their father, Tyler had to grow up quickly and be the man of the house. And while he isn’t always the most mature, he’ll do anything to protect his family.

Connor Jessup has been working in film and television since the early 2010s. You may recognize him from shows likeFalling SkiesandAmerican Crime. He’s also dabbled in film, with movies such asBlackbirdandCloset Monster.

Emilia Jones as Kinsey Locke

Kinsey Locke, the middle child of the family, is portrayed byEmilia Jones. Kinsey is the most introverted among the Locke children. This has made it especially difficult for her to make friends in Matheson. However, she eventually hits it off with Scot Cavendish and the rest of the Savini Squad. While she is usually reserved and non-confrontational, Kinsey is also fiercely loyal and won’t back down if her friends or family are in need.

Darby Stanchfield as Nina Locke

Perhaps nobody takes Rendell’s death harder than Nina Locke. Portrayed byDarby Stanchfield, Nina spirals due to her immense grief. What once was a warm-hearted and caring person, soon devolves into a grief-stricken alcoholic. Stanchfield began her career playing minor roles in different television shows. Aside fromLocke & Key, Stanchfield has worked on a number of different series such asJericho,Mad Men, and thepolitical drama seriesScandal.

Bill Heck as Rendell Locke

Bill Heckplays Rendell Locke, the father of the Locke children whose death ushers in the rest of the events that transpire in the series. Not much is known about Rendell except that he and his friends were the ones who first made use of the magical keys. Bill Heck has had roles in a slew of different shows such asThe Alienist,The Old Man, and the short-livedreboot ofI Know What You Did Last Summer.

Aaron Ashmore as Duncan Locke

Aaron Ashmoreplays Duncan Locke, Rendell’s brother and the Locke children’s favorite uncle. Like Rendell, Duncan also made use of the keys when he was younger. However, Duncan’s memories of the keys were removed from his head using the Head Key. If Ashmore looks familiar to you, you may recognize him during his stint onSmallville, wherein he played Jimmy Olsen.

Petrice Jones as Scot Cavendish

Petrice Jonesis Scot Cavendish, head of the Savini Squad and Kinsey’s love interest. While Scot isn’t from a magical key-wielding family, he’s always willing to lend a helping hand in order to protect the keys. Jones' role inLocke & Keyis his most notable role to date. With that being said, he’s made appearances in shows such asStep Up: High WaterandHolby City.

Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge

Laysla De Oliveiraplays Dodge, the show’s primary antagonist. Before taking on this form, Dodge used Lucas Caravaggio. Lucas was a friend of Rendell’s who ends up being possessed by evil forces. Because Lucas posed a threat to the keys and everyone around him, Rendell had to take action and strike down his friend. Outside ofLocke and Key, De Oliveira has made appearances in the seriesThe Giftedand the horror filmIn the Tall Grass.

Griffin Gluck as Gabe

Thanks to the power of the Identity Key, Dodge is able to transform herself into Gabe. Gabe, who’s portrayed byGriffin Gluck, befriends the Lockes in hopes of getting closer to them — and by extension the rest of the keys.

Darby Stanchfield as Nina Locke

Griffin Gluck has appeared in a number of films and television shows. His first feature film had him acting alongside both Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler in the romantic comedyJust Go with It. More recently, Gluck has worked on shows such asAmerican Vandaland theanthology seriesCruel Summer.

Kevin Durand as Fredrick Gideon

Fredrick Gideon is played byKevin Durand. And while you won’t really see or hear of himuntil the show’sthird and final season, we can’t have a character guide and not discuss one of the series' most memorable big bads. Without giving too much away, Fredrick Gideon has a long history with the Locke family and is hellbent on taking the keys away from them to use for his own nefarious plans.
