Back in April, just after CinemaCon, Sony Pictures debuted thefirst trailerfor their highly-anticipated remake ofThe Magnificent Seven, which is set to hit theaters on September 23. While we get ready for this fall release, which brings a classic story back to life on the big screen with a cast chocked full of today’s biggest stars, Sony has debuted a second trailer, along with a new international trailer and a poster. As you can see from the footage, this iconic story has been revamped for the 21st Century while still sticking to its classic roots. And it’s quite explosive.

With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns - Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money inSony Pictures' remake ofThe Magnificent Seven.

This remake is truly going to beOne Wild Ride!Antoine Fuquadirects from a screenplay byNic Pizzolatto(True Detective) andRichard Wenk. The producers areRoger BirnbaumandTodd Black. The movie unites directorAntoine FuquaandDenzel Washingtonfor a third time following the critically-acclaimedTraining DayandThe Equalizer.

The director says that he pitchedDenzelthis project by telling him to envision an image of the actor riding over the hill on a black horse, while playing a hip-hop version ofEnnio Morricone’s iconic theme song, which convinced him to take on this project. The director also revealed that temperatures reached over 110 degrees while production was under way last year in New Orleans, and thatDenzel Washingtonformed a “special bond” with his character’s gun, a Colt .45 Peacemaker, which the actor reportedly took everywhere with him.

The supporting cast includesHaley Bennett,Luke Grimes,Wagner MouraandMatthew Bomer. This action-packed remake will go up against Warner Bros.‘Storksand an untitled project from Sony Pictures Animation in theaters on September 23.
