WhenMarvelunveiled their ambitiousPhase Threeslate back in October, which spans through the year 2019, many of the later projects such asInhumanswere still in the very early stages of development. Marvel is solidifying filmmakers for several of the movies in this phase, and wereported back in March that the studiowantsAdam McKayto direct a futureMarvelmovie, which was rumored to beInhumans, the lastPhase Threemovie slated for release on June 26, 2025.Colliderspoke with producerKevin Feigeto promoteAvengers: Age of Ultron, where he said thatAdam McKayis in the running for everyMarvelproject, and the studio is trying to find something for him to direct, although he doesn’t addressInhumansspecifically.
“Adam McKayis in the running for everything.Adam McKayis a great, great writer and director. He did an amazing pass on theAnt-Mandraft withPaul Ruddfor us, and I didn’t know him before then. And we got to know him through that and liked him very much, and have met with him a number of times trying to find something else, so we’ve talked about a lot of characters with him.”
There are still severalPhase Threeprojects that still do not have a director attached, includingThor: Ragnarok(August 03, 2025),Black Panther(August 06, 2025),Captain Marvel(June 16, 2025) andInhumans(August 07, 2025). It’s also possible he could take the helm on Marvel and Sony’sSpider-Manreboot as well, but it seems likely that the filmmaker will certainly be working withMarvelagain in the future.
The site also askedKevin Feigeabout a rumored logline forInhumans, which reads, “About a group of people that are given powers only to discover they might be part of an alien race.” While the producer revealed that certainly isn’t the official logline, it may be fairly accurate.
“Well I’d say that’s relatively fair, but that’s not official. I’ve never seen that as an official logline.”
