Retiring from the Los Angeles Lakers in 2004,Rick Foxdidn’t really ever need to do anything else ever again. But he was bit by the acting bug early on in his NBA career, first appearing in the 1994 basketball drama Blue Chips opposite Lakers teammateShaquille O’Neal. Two years later, he would appear in another basketball-themed movie, the comedy Eddie starring oppositeWhoopi Goldberg. Rounding out his own personal basketball trilogy, he also appeared inSpike Lee’s 1998 romantic dramedy He Got Game. Some have always felt he was a little too handsome for the court, and was more suited for the big screen. Though his greatest role would come on the small screen in the HBO prison drama Oz, where he appeared in 11 episodes between 1997 and 2003 playing Vahue, a superstar basketball player imprisoned for sexual assault. He subsequently develops and overcomes a major drug addiction.

After retiring from professional basketball,Rick Foxwould give himself over to acting completely. From 2005 until 2008, he would appear in a great number of TV series, holding down guest spots and recurring story arcs. In 2008, he landed a lead role inTyler Perry’s Meet the Browns.Navy Seals Vs.
