Saturday Night LivestarPete Davidsonpoked some fun at the celebrity love triangle he’s found himself embroiled in during his set at Netflix is a Joke: The Festival, and the footage has since made its way online. Following the very public and widely-reported on split between Kim Kardashian andKanye West, Davidson had become a part of the story by striking up a romance with Kardashian. Davidson and West have since been feuding, and some new shots are fired in the Netflix festival clip which you can watch below.

It was perhaps expected for Davidson to address this situation as the elephant in the room. He kicked off the Kanye West jokes by referencing the time West hadallegedly spread rumors about himhaving AIDS. Davidson jokes that he actually went and got himself checked for the disease based on West’s comments as the hip hop mogul is such a “genius.” As Davidson puts it:

Machine Gun Kelly

“I’ve had a really weird year. I had an AIDS scare this year. Yeah, I did, and you’re like, ‘Pete, wow, what’s going on in your life? Are you sharing needles? Are you doing heroin? Are you having tons of unprotected sex?’ No, Kanye told me I have AIDS. And, he’s a genius, so I was like, Oh, f**k. I was like, ‘I better call my doctor. The guy who made College Dropout thinks I have AIDS.’ So, I went to the doctor. I actually got checked, because I was like, maybe he’s right. I don’t know. So, the doctor told me, I don’t have AIDS, I just look like I have it.”

Davidson goes on to criticize West for hitting him with a slight that he perceives to be very outdated. The comic then makes another 90s reference by joking about how funny it would be if West had tried to pull off a scam similar to the plot ofMrs. Doubtfire, the Robin Williams comedy about a divorced dad pretending to be an elderly housekeeper for his ex-wife in order to spend more time with his children.

“You know what’s really funny about that? AIDS is such an old school, like, thing. They’re like, ‘You have AIDS.’ It’s such a 90s, early 2000s thing to like… you know what I mean? John Mulaney called me, and he’s like, ‘AIDS? You should spread a rumor that he has polio.’ Does anybody else secretly hope that Kanye pulls a Mrs. Doubtfire? I come home one day, and they’re like, ‘This is the new housekeeper.’ And he’s like, ‘What’s up fam?'”

Pete Davidson also touches on how the reaction he gets when he goes outside is “always 50/50,” as strangers will either tell him he’s cool or angrily swear at him. He also brings up how people have constantly asked him about his friendship with rapper Jack Harlow, who’s featured on Kanye’s new album. Davidson uses his comedy to explain how the guest appearance doesn’t bother him, as Harlow is just doing what rappers do.

“Kanye put him on his new album, even though I’ve been friends with him for like 2-3 years, he did it anyway. People come up to me, they’re like, ‘How does that feel? Does that bother you? Does that get under your skin?’ I’m like, ‘No, he’s a rapper. That’s his field. That’s what they do.’ It doesn’t hurt my feelings. It would hurt my feelings if I saw Bill Burr at Sunday service. I’d be like, ‘What the f**k Bill?’ He’d be like, ‘Find God, Petey!'”

There hasn’t been any word yet on West’s opinion on Davidson’s new material.
