Well Go USA has released an all-new trailer forPhantasm: Ravager, more than two years since the arrival of the first footage. Back in March 2014, it was announced that the secretive production onPhantasm: Ravagerhad wrapped, with a sneak peek atAngus Scrimm’s return asThe Tall Man. Today, we get to see this horror icon in action in anticipation of the franchise finale, which hits theaters October 7.

Back in July, Well Go USA announced its acquisition of North American rights for Don Coscarelli’s legendaryPhantasmseries, including an all-new 4K restoration of the original 1979 cult classicPhantasm: Remastered, never-before-seenHD restorationsof 1994’sPhantasm III: Lord of the Deadand 1998’sPhantasm IV: Oblivion, along with the long-anticipated debut of the fifth and final film in the series,Phantasm: Ravager. This final installment will debut on digital HD and VOD formats October 4, before arriving in theaters October 7.Entertainment Weeklydebuted the new trailer, and spoke with writer-producerDon Coscarelli, who had this to say about this franchise finale.

“It’s a swan song to the series. There’s some new iterations of thosebrain-shucking spheresand a lot of good stuff that the fans will enjoy. It ties up a lot of the storylines and answers some questions that fans have had.”

For 37 years, audiences have followed small town friends Reggie, Mike, and Jody in their quest to stop the evil, dimension-hopping schemes of The Tall Man (Angus Scrimmin his final performance) and his armada of killer Sentinel Spheres. Now,Don Coscarelli’s acclaimed horror/sci-fiPhantasmfranchise comes to a close in a truly epic finale, a multi-dimensional battle across multiple timelines, alien planets, and altered realities, where no less than the fate of Earth is on the line.

Along withAngus Scrimm, who passed away in January, this final installment brings back originalPhantasmstarsMichael Baldwinas Mike,Bill Thornburyas Jody andReggie Bannisteras Reggie. However, this final movie marks the first time thatDon Coscarelliis not at the helm, ceding the directorial debuts over toDavid Hartman.Don Coscarellidid co-write the script withDavid Hartmanand serves as a producer.
