R-rated comedies are quite rare to come by these days, but with the success of the R-rated superhero movieDeadpool, which has earned over $763 million worldwide since its release in February, it’s possible that adult audiences could flock toSausage Partyas well, making it one of the last summer blockbusters. Still, the movie will also debut one week after Warner Bros.' highly-anticipated superhero movieSuicide Squad, so it’s possible that movie could adversely affectSausage Party’s box office take.

We still have a few more months left untilSausage Partyhits theaters this August, so we’ll have to wait and see if thisSeth Rogenvideo is just the first in a series that pokes fun ofWalt Disneyand his iconic studio. With the movie going up against Disney’sPete’s Dragonremake, it could turn into an interesting box office rivalry over the next few months.
