When Disney called the latestStar Wars: The Force Awakenssneak peek ‘The Final Trailer’, they meant it! There will be no more new footage released until the film hits theaters onDecember 17as part of a 7 film marathon at participating theaters. Leading up to the big premiere, which is just 50 days away (less than two months), we will be seeing a handful of TV spots. But don’t expect these too give away too much. They will mostly be comprised of already released footage with a few very select new shots that won’t last more than a couple of seconds.
The third and finalForce Awakenstrailer arrived last Monday like a tornado, whipping through the online landscape and causing quite a bit of emotional damage. People cried, they laughed, they cheered, they literally lost their sh*t as they watched the new footage over and over again. The trailer was viewed 112 million times in just 24 hours. And it literally broke the Internet as ticket selling sites crashed one after the other. Disney and LucasFilm don’t really need to release another trailer. In fact, if they stopped promoting the movie altogether, right this second, they probably wouldn’t lose a dime. And it certainly wouldn’t hurt directorJ.J. Abrams' feelings. Talking withExtra, he had this to say.

“We’re getting very close, the next thing’s really gonna be the movie. There will be commercials, but no more trailers… We’ve all been working really hard to give people something that will be special to them. Our fingers are just very tightly crossed that when people see the movie they’ll like it.”
Yesterday, the director confirmed that we won’t see Luke Skywalker untilStar Wars: The Force Awakensopens in December. Thus far, we’ve seen every other original character except the Master Jedi. This has led many to speculate that Skywalker has joined the Dark Side. Though, leaked photos ofMark Hamillin a white robe suggest otherwise. About Luke finally giving into the Emperor’s call,J.J. Abramshad this to say.

“I saw that too, I’m always interested in seeing people’s theories. What’ll be cool when people finally see the movie and see what it really is. Hopefully some people will say, ‘I was right,’ other people will be like, ‘All right!’ You want people to be debating things even before the movie comes out, it’s a dream!”
Story rumors claim thatLuke Skywalkeris in self-imposed exile, and has been hiding for the past 30 years. It has been confirmed that Finn and Rey have found Luke’s old blue lightsaber, which was first given to him by Obi-Wan Kenobi in 1977’sA New Hopeand lost in the battle against Darth Vader in 1980’sEmpire Strikes Back. Many believe that the AWOL Stormtrooper and the future Jedi are now on amissionto return the lightsaber to its rightful owner.Daisy RidleyandMark Hamillare confirmed to have shot scenes together on Ireland’s Skellig Michael island, where it is believed the Jedi is discovered hiding out.
