WithStar Wars: The Force Awakenslikely winding down its theatrical run after three months in theaters, many are waiting for any official details regarding theBlu-ray and DVDrelease. Last month, Amazon listed an April 5 debut date, but that was never confirmed by Disney or LucasFilm, and no special features details were listed, until now.Making Star Warsnoticed the Swedish siteCDON.selisted a number of special features, before they were removed from the site.
While these special features have yet to be confirmed, this Swedish site lists Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey, The Story Awakens: The Table Read, Building BB-8, Crafting Creatures, Blueprint of a Battle: The Snow Fight, The Visual Magic Of The Force,John Williams: The Seventh Symphony, Deleted Scenes and Force For Change. Of course, even if these are legit, it’s possible there could be even more released through retailer-exclusives, which normally have an extra disc with bonus features you can’t get anywhere else. Still, these features will surely have plenty of intriguing details about this beloved blockbuster.

You may recall that, when the full cast was announced, LucasFilm released the first photo of the full cast together at the Table Read. It’s possible that The Story Awakens: The Table Read will feature actual footage from the historic table read, but we don’t know for sure. It’s also possible that thesoundtrack previewreleased earlier this week withJohn Williamswill be part of theJohn Williams: The Seventh Symphony bonus segment.
Earlier today, another report surfaced, whereStar Wars: The Force Awakenseditor Maryann Brandon revealed that there will be either seven or eight deleted scenes. Of course, she wouldn’t shed any details about what these scenes may contain, but perhaps the official announcement will shed some light on these bonus scenes. It also isn’t known if we’ll see the “alternate ending,” where directorJ.J. Abramswanted to end on a close-up shot of Rey (Daisy Ridley), teasing that the Force was “awakening” within her. Eventually, he went with the final aerial shot looking down on both Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Rey.

There are a few deleted scenes we know about already, including one with Han Solo and another with Rey. There is also a scene with General Leia and Maz Kanata at the Resistance Base involving Luke Skywalker’s old lightsaber, and another that featuresConstable Zuvioin action. There is also a scene that has Maz confronting Stormtroopers, and another whereChewbaccarips the arms of Unkar Platt. Whether or not these are all included in the actual Blu-ray/DVD deleted scenes are unclear, but hopefully we’ll have an official announcement soon.
