Sweet Home Season 2: The Plot

In the first season ofSweet Home, the viewers are introduced tothe post-apocalyptic world of South Korea, where a large portion of the population has turned into various monsters based on their deepest desires. As we follow Cha Hyun Soo (Song Kang), who initially resolved to kill himself but eventually found a purpose to survive in this wretched world while his entire apartment complex is flooded with terrifying monsters, we realize that Hyun Soo himself has also half-turned into a monster.

Season one concluded with Sang Wook (Lee Jin Wook) driving Hyun Soo away in an armored truck while the residents of Green Home seek an escape route in the hopes of finding a safe haven. At the same time, the special forces are on the hunt for half-turned humans, and now the fate of Hyun Soo rests with the special infectee that has taken over Sang Wook’s body, with no idea where he is heading.

While there isn’t much information about the second season since there hasn’t been an official teaser or trailer released yet, the director Lee Eung Bok stated that he would keep the story as faithful to the webtoon as possible. The second season will most likely delve deeper into the experiments of the military, who are trying to separate the monster curses from the human body, and Yi Kyeong’s fiancé, who disappeared after claiming to have found a secret to the curse, will play a vital role in it.
