This week,Dwayne Johnsonand directorF. Gary Graydidn’t feel like waiting until Friday, with the actor and director posting a new photo and video from the set. The video featuresDwayne Johnsonsporting his orange prison jumpsuit, promising the best prison scene in the history of cinema. It’s defintely something fans have never seen in a movie before.

TheInstagramvideo hasDwayne Johnsonteasing a “jail scene” he’s about to shoot with directorF. Gary Gray, that will supposedly be “the prison scene of all prison scenes”. Unfortunately, he doesn’t shed any further light on what happens, but perhaps Hobbs is about to make his big escape.Dwayne Johnsonalso shared a photo ffeaturing Hobbs as he survives a massive pile-up.

This video comes just a week after anothernew photogave us our first look at Hobbs in his prison-issued orange jumpsuit. We still have no idea why he was put behind bars in the first place. It’s possible that it’s because this Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) agent keeps working with Dominic Torreto (Vin Diesel) and his crew, but that’s only speculation at this point. Filming began this past April in Cuba, where it became the first major studio movie to shoot in the country in over 50 years.

The Oscar winner recently confirmed that she has a day’s worth of work on the sequel, but she won’t be doing any driving.

F. Gary Gray, who directed last year’s critical and commercial sensationStraight Outta Compton, is taking the helm onFast 8, working from a script byChris Morgan. The writer is responsible for penning every movie in the series, except for the first two, 2001’sThe Fast and the Furiousand 2003’s2 Fast 2 Furious. Universal has already set an August 14, 2025 release date for Fast & Furious 8, and it currently has that date all to itself.
