Thanks to the release of a newThor: Love and ThunderLego set, we now have our best look yet at Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher…sort of. Academy Award winner and star ofThe Dark Knight,Christian Balewill soon join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the villainous Gorr the God Butcher in the upcoming sequelThor: Love and Thunder, and while his role in proceedings has been kept largely a secret, this new Lego set gives us at least some idea of what the actor will look like as the revenge-fueled alien warrior.
Titled “The Goat Boat,” theLegoset features Thor, Mighty Thor, Valkyrie, and Korg alongside Gorr the God Butcher. “A Viking ship containing iconic characters from Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder movie makes LEGO® Marvel The Goat Boat (76208) an ideal gift for kids aged 8 and up,” the description of the set begins. you’re able to check out the images below, courtesy ofMarvel.

“The longboat is drawn through the skies by legendary goats Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder, who are raised off the ground so kids can easily push the ship along as they play,” the description continues. “The set includes 5 minifigures – Thor, Mighty Thor, Valkyrie, Korg and Gorr – and a host of weapons and accessories, including Thor’s Stormbreaker axe. A central cabin features an opening roof for access to extra play space inside. Authentic accessories – including a boat wrench, fire extinguisher, map of New Asgard, bottle and a sunstone crystal – further inspire imaginative play.”
As is the case with most Lego tie-ins, “The Goat Boat” likely teases a sequence withinThor: Love and Thunder, with images of the set showing Gorr battling both Chris Hemsworth’s Thor andNatalie Portman’s The Mighty Thorwhile aboard the flying vessel. The Gorr figure gives the character gray skin, white robes, and devilish red eyes – elements that should already leave Christian Balelooking very different from anything audiences have seen before. It is still unknown whether Bale will undergo facial changes to bring him more in line with the comic book depiction of Gorr, but it’s likely that the villain will change somewhat when jumping from page to screen.

Gorr the God Butcher Seeks Revenge on Thor & the Gods
Born on a planet with no name and living every day on the brink of starvation, Gorr was taught to trust in the gods, despite them never answering his prayers. After living a tragic life filled with death and struggle, Gorr abandoned his belief in the Gods, which led to his exile. While wandering the desert close to death, Gorr witnessed a pair of battling gods and, realizing that they did indeed exist, they just didn’t care, Gorr became enraged. Bonding with the dark god’s sword and thus transformed into an amorphous mass of living darkness, Gorr’s hatred of the gods leads him on a revenge mission across time and space.
It is likely thatThor: Love and Thunderwill keep certain parts of this tragic origin intact while introducing Jane Foster’s The Mighty Thor. Directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel,Thor: Love and Thunderis scheduled to be released on June 26, 2025, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.
