On social media, clips are going viral of Cruise making guest appearances in different theaters, apparently having embarked on a road trip to visit as many different locations showing the film as possible. Of course, Cruise has long been a champion of the theatrical experience, having been credited with “saving” the movie theater industry last year withTop Gun: Maverick, so perhaps he just wanted to thank the fans for their support in person.“I’ve very excited to be able to have the opportunity at this time to be able to show you this on the big screen,” Cruise can be seen telling filmgoers in one clip shared from a theater in Georgetown in Washington, D.C. “This is why we do it. This moment right here. So, you all enjoy.“There are other social media posts of Cruise during his adventures to different theaters. That includes another video clip of Cruise walking into a theater to great applause, shaking hands with many of the filmgoers he passed as he walked through the aisle. Some fans have been able to get selfies taken with Cruise as well, which were of course shared online. Cruise has been put in great effort for this movie to be made, and after years of development, it would seem that the hard work is paying off.Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Oneis projected to score big at the box office this weekend, expected to fetch between $85 million and $95 million just in North America. Worldwide, it’s looking at a start of around $250 million. What’s even better for Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie is that the reviews have been stellar, as the sequel has debuted with a near-perfect score of 99% Certified Fresh at Rotten Tomatoes.

“I know I’ve done some wild things,” Cruise previously toldCollider, explaining how he’s an audience member first. “I just know what we try to do with these films, and actually all of my movies. You know, I remember as an audience member, which I am first and foremost, and as a filmmaker, I make my movies for audiences, but I like a wide range of cinema, so I’ve always wanted to challenge myself in a wide range of genres and styles to understand each one. I’d go into it and study each one as I was making it and test my abilities.”
