Now the actor is set to headline anAI-themed erotic thriller package titledHomewreckers. The unpublished three-chapter short story, originally penned by Neil M. Paik, is now being adapted for the screen with Paik on board to write the script.
Homewreckersis being described as an erotic thriller with a sci-fi twist. The plot centers around Beth and Henry (Powell), a couple stuck in a difficult marriage, with suspicion, mistrust, and emotional distance clouding their relationship. On the one hand, Henry is increasingly consumed by the notion that Beth is seeing someone else. And on the other, Beth is offered the opportunity to strike up a romance with a younger version of Henry, who is powered by artificial intelligence. The story then grows more complex and dark, as Beth and Henry’s relationship “teeters on the edge of love, betrayal, and self-destruction.”
Powell seems like anideal casting choice for the project due to his recent success and growing popularity.
