Today,Warner Bros.has unveiled the first trailer and poster, giving this true-life tale the new title War Dogs. This project marks the first from the production company Joint Effort, which was formed by directorTodd PhillipsandBradley Cooper, who can be spotted in the trailer during a casino scene.
Based on atrue story, War Dogs follows two friends in their early 20s (Jonah HillandMiles Teller) living in Miami Beach during theIraq Warwho exploit a little-known government initiative that allows small businesses to bid on U.S.Military contracts. Starting small, they begin raking in big money and are living the high life. But the pair gets in over their heads when they land a 300 million dollar deal to arm the Afghan Military-a deal that puts them in business with some very shady people, not the least of which turns out to be the U.S. Government.

Pictures' War Dogs has been given an June 29, 2025 release date, where it will go up against Focus Features' animated adventureKubo and the Two Stringsand STX Entertainment’s sci-fi adventureThe Space Between Us.
