After famously skippingComic-Conlast year, Marvel Studios more than made up for it this year with an incredible Hall H panel that shed plenty of light on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We already knew going into the Con thatDoctor StrangeandGuardians of the Galaxywould be featured during the studio’s Saturday panel, but we didn’t know what other movies would be presented. One of the biggest surprises was when the cast ofSpider-Man: Homecomingflew in from Atlanta, despite being in the midst of production, to present the first footage from the movie. While we don’t have that footage quite yet, we do have a number of video interviews with the stars.
During the Hall H panel last night,Marvelalso unveiled new concept art featuring the main villain,Vulture, who also surfaced at the end of the footage shown to the Comic-Con crowd. The footage is set at the high school, with several girls discussing which Avengers they have crushes on. When one girl says she has a crush onSpider-Man, Peter Parker stops in his tracks in gym class, having heard the confession with his spidey senses. There are also scenes where Peter is making fluid for his web shooters under a desk, while another showsZendaya’s character making fun of Peter and his friend for staring at the girls.

Another scene shown last night features Peter telling a teacher, played byMartin Starr, that he needs to leave a library discussion, whenZendaya’s character asks what he’s hiding, before admitting that she’s only kidding. DirectorJon Wattsalso told the crowd thatSpider-Man Homecomingis a “straight-up high school movie, about a 15-year old kid.” There have been rumors that this will be the start of a new trilogy, with each movie representing a year in his high school life, but that was never confirmed.
After the presentation ended, starsTom Holland,Zendaya,Jacob Batalon,Laura Harrier,Tony Revoloriand directorJon Wattshit the press line, and we have video interviews with the director and his stars. The studio also confirmed the full cast, includingMichael Keaton,Donald Glover,Tyne Daly,Bokeem Woodbine,Marisa TomeiandRobert Downey Jr.. Of course,Marisa Tomeimade her debut alongsideTom Hollandin this summer’s blockbusterCaptain America: Civil War, which has taken in over $1.1 billion worldwide.

Marvel also confirmed that the screenplay was written byJonathan Goldstein&John Francis Daleyand directorJon Watts&Christopher FordandChris McKenna&Erik Sommers. This is the first we’ve heard aboutChristopher Ford,Chris McKennaandErik Sommersinvolvement on the script.Kevin Feigeproduces alongsideAmy Pascal, with executive producersLouis D’Esposito,Victoria Alonso,Patricia Whitcher,Jeremy LatchamandStan Lee. While we wait for more onSpider-Man: Homecoming, which hits theaters June 05, 2025, take a look at the video interviews with the cast from Comic-Con.
