The first season of Marvel’sWhat If…?asked questions about the MCU and what could happen to the timeline if those questions were answered. The answers that we received provided some episodes that were entertaining in that typical Marvel comedic fashion, but there were also some serious and dark episodes that made us question the morality of the characters. The animation style was beautiful and added an almost storybook element to it.

Moreover, the first season had a fantastic list of cast members and characters throughout. The second seasoncontinued with that exact same formula, never missing a beat. Brand-new faces were introduced into the new season, along with some familiar ones. This includes the cast members who voiced the characters. What if….we tell you about the cast and characters that appear throughout the second season ofWhat If…?

what if?

Following the establishment of the multiverse in the first-season finale of Loki, What If…? explores various alternate timelines across the multiverse in which major moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films occur differently, as observed by the Watcher. In the second season, following the formation of the Guardians of the Multiverse, the Watcher continues to explore more strange worlds, meeting new heroes and keeping the multiverse safe.

Mick Wingert as Iron Man/Tony Stark

Who doesn’t know this genius billionaire playboy philanthropist? The basis of his character is that Tony gets kidnapped by a group of terrorists. He is forced to build a destructive weapon, but instead, he builds a powered suit of armor, so he can escape. Once he does escape, he modifies and rebuilds his suit, becoming the Iron Man we know today who eventually becomes a key member of the Avengers. In this second season ofWhat If…?, when Tony Stark saves New York from the Chitauri invasion by redirecting a nuclear missile towards their mothership, the portal closes behind him. His story continues very similar to that of theThor: Ragnarokfilm.

Chris Hemsworth as King Thor

The God of Thunder’s variant in season two is the polar opposite of the Party Thor we know from season one. Thor is the son of Odin and brother of Loki, who resides in Asgard. He goes back and forth from Asgard and Earth, eventually joins the Avengers, and ultimately chooses to stay on Earth to live a life with Jane. Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch

Wanda just cannot seem to catch a break when it comes to the MCU. In the MCU timeline, she and her twin brother were taken for experimentation after their home was destroyed. Since then, she got powers through the Mind Stone, became an Avenger after learning of Ultron’s plans, accidentally killed innocent people, fell in love with Vision, and had to kill him so Thanos couldn’t take the Mind Stone, only for Thanos to bring him back and kill him before her very eyes.
