Today we have word fromDeadlinethatSteve Carellhas signed on to replace him. The casting keeps theproductionon schedule, with filming also set to take place in New York after the L.A. shoot wraps.
Wereportedin March thatBruce Willis,Kristen StewartandJesse Eisenbergwere the first three cast members to sign on for this untitledcomedy movie. Bruce Willis reportedly dropped out due to scheduling conflicts with his Broadway stage play adaptation ofMisery. However, there have been persisting rumors that claim the actor was actually fired byWoody Allen, because he didn’t think he was right for the role.
The cast also includes Jeannie Berlin,Blake Lively,Parker Posey,Corey Stoll,Ken Stott,Anna Camp, Stephen Kunken and Sari Lennick. No plot details were given at this time, as is the case with all ofWoody Allen’s projects. We likely won’t find out the official title until the first trailer is released, sometime next year.
